Debating is an effective medium for individuals regardless of their skin colour, sexuality, gender and creed to discuss and challenge one another on relevant topics without fear of being lambasted for their immutable characteristics. Here at the Phil, we recognise that this is extremely important for debating to function properly.

Whether it be at our weekly chamber debates or various internal debating competitions throughout the year, such as Maidens, we engage with motions that are topical and thought-provoking whilst also being respectful and inclusive.
